Waiakea blanks KSH

Waiakea won in a 10-0 run rule, including a six-run outburst in the bottom of the fifth inning. The defending BIIF DI champions logged nine hits to KSH’s one.
Jerrell Alston led the winners with a home run and three RBI, followed by teammates Jesse Inouye and Zian Wery with two RBI. Tycen Baruela, Axel Akau, Connor Wallace, Hurley Soong and Logen Doran had one base hit apiece.
Soong was Waiakea’s long pitcher, striking out six on the mound across 5.0 innings.
KSH’s Hekili Naipo secured his team’s only hit. Hunter Yamamoto, Eriz Passi and Kaikoa Nobriga all shared time on the mound.
