A plethora of promising Goebbels Award nominees
Last February, the Joseph Goebbels Award was presented in a timely manner to Antony Blinken, former secretary of state for President Biden. The selection committee found that most of the other nominees were merely repeating Mr. Blinken’s pronouncements and were quickly passed over.
The Joseph Goebbels Award is an award given annually for antithesis in accuracy, honesty and transparency, to people representing a national government. It is presented to individuals who steadfastly embrace the practices that Joseph Goebbels espoused and lived by: “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”
His other maxims are easy to look up, equally enlightening, and universally practiced today.
This year’s award has been delayed simply by the sheer volume of nominees appearing and disappearing. Apparently, several of those nominated have suffered in the rankings by blurting out the truth, albeit quickly retracted.
Another mitigating — although not strictly disqualifying — factor is having dementia, a trait that has appeared repeatedly in a number of administrations. It should be noted, however, that supplicants stubbornly promoting those demented ramblings are applauded, while repeating propaganda from foreign countries demonstrates a proficiency that is admired and used extensively.
Aspirants competing for this award can be viewed nightly on various propaganda platforms, such as the news at 6 p.m.

To those who cleared trees, kept the lights on
Mahalo to the utility crews, the road crews, the police officers and all the other people who worked to keep our homes lighted, cleared the roadways and responded to calls for help during these past several days of very bad weather.
I and everyone I know greatly appreciate what you have done and continue to do for us.
Sometimes we take your efforts for granted, but not today.
Thank you so much.
