Jeremiah Maluo

Jeremiah Maluo, 91, of Waimea died March 24 at home. Born in Hilo, 91Ö±²¥, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward, Operating Engineers Union Local 3, and U.S. Army veteran. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward in Hawi. Aloha attire. Burial noon Monday, April 20, at West 91Ö±²¥ Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Survived by wife, Audrey Maluo of Waimea; daughter, Patricia (Kelly) Maluo-Pearson of Waiehu, Maui; brothers, Joseph (Sharon) Maluo of Honolulu and Samuel Maluo of Hilo; a grandson and a great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Debra Lynn McIntosh, 72, of Naalehu died Jan. 1 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in El Paso, Texas, she was a counselor at Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s 91Ö±²¥, a cashier at Woolworth in El Paso, a substitute teacher at Ft. Bragg, N.C.; an Avon representative, Pampered Chef consultant, member and pianist first at Lighthouse Baptist Church, then Amazing Grace Baptist Church of South Point, and member of O Ka‘u Kakou. Services held at West 91Ö±²¥ Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona and Amazing Grace Baptist Church at Ka Lae (South Point). Memorial contributions to Amazing Grace Baptist Church, P.O.
