Narciso “Nasi” Fernandez

Narciso “Nasi” Fernandez, 82, of Kealakekua died Jan. 24 at home. Born in Captain Cook, he was a retired mason and member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, coffee farmer; retired Konawaena High School girls’ and Parks and Recreation Kona women’s softball coach, and member of the former Fil-Am men’s softball team and St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. Mass at 10 a.m. Survived by wife, Ruth Fernandez of Kealakekua; son, Dolan (Xiangying) Fernandez of Kealakekua; daughters, Tanya (Rory) Manners and Narissa Fernandez of Kealakekua; hanai son, Kalima Victor of Kailua-Kona; father-in-law, Charles Hoo Dong of Hilo; sisters, Ruth Aguiar and Roselda Rasay of Hilo; sisters- and brothers-in-laws; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Lourdes Pimentero Foronda

Lourdes Pimentero Foronda, 90, of Kailua-Kona died March 24 at home. Born in the Philippines, she was a bookkeeper and member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday, April 24, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua- Kona. Mass begins at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire. Survived by her son, Eldridge Foronda of Los Angeles; daughter, Claudette (Allen) Knight of San Francisco; brother, Rosito Dangcil of Philippines; three grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Leeberth “Leebert” Naboa, 75, of Ocean View died March 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Pahala, he was a retired mason, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Naalehu Ward and 91ֱ Masons and Plasterers Union Local No. 630. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Naalehu Ward. Service begins at 10 a.m. Casual attire.
