Michael Lee Horst, 67, of Volcano died April 18 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Long Beach, Calif., he is a retired U.S. Army veteran who worked in the racing and sports booking industry, and member of the Volcano Community Association. Private service. Andy Juan Pascubillo Jr., 52, of Pahala died Feb. 26 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. He worked in field maintenance for Kaʻu Coffee Mill. Akira Yoshida, 99, of Hilo died Dec. 1, 2025, at home. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired produce manager for the former Rancho Produce and U.S. Army World War II veteran. Private services held.
