Ronald Kenji Jinbo, 88, of Hilo, died Dec. 29 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Bank of 91直播 Kaikoo branch manager and 91直播 Army National Guard veteran. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Benjamin Mose Palermo, 82, of Waimea died Dec. 24 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Born in Zambales, Philippines, he was a U.S. Navy retiree, retired line cook for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, custodian at Kamehameha Preschool in Waimea, a member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union No. 142 and Seventh-day Adventist Church. Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 45-3348 Mamane St. in Honokaa. Private burial. Daisy Kualoha “Aunty Daisy” (Namauu) Nakamoto, 80, of Hilo died Jan. 10 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory retiree, worked for C.W. Maintenance, was a server for the former Drop Inn Restaurant and member of Heritage Christian Fellowship, a member and vice chair and former Big Island Local Executive Board of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 142, participated in the Alu Like Kupuna Program and graduated from Hilo High School.
