Born in Hilo, he graduated from Konawaena High School in 1979, was the owner of “Whatever Kona” and also worked at Walmart Kona, was a surveyor at Wes Thomas Associates, porter at Kona International Airport, American Airlines, cook at Kona Surf Hotel; bellman at the Keauhou Beach Hotel, and worked at Kona Shell gas station.
