WAIKOLOA — Kings’ Shops will celebrate Lei Day from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday with an afternoon of 91直播an music, hula and local vendors as part of the Waikoloa Lei Day Festival, a resort-wide celebration taking place across Waikoloa Beach Resort, which also includes the annual Lei Contest at Queens’ Marketplace.

Open to kama‘aina and visitors, the event will feature curated local vendors throughout the center offering handcrafted lei, floral accessories, apparel, artisan goods and refreshments.

The program begins at 1:45 p.m. with a traditional aloha ‘oli presented by Halau Kawehileimamoikawekiu‘okohala under the direction of kumu hula Lorna Lim followed by live 91直播an music and hula performances throughout the afternoon.

Kings’ Shops event schedule:

— 2 p.m.: Ka Hui Hoa, featuring Sean Parks, Kapono Lopes, and Heua Dai-Dudoit

— 3 p.m.: Halau E Hulali I Ka La, led by kumu Chrissy Kama

— 4 p.m.: Kamaui

— 5 p.m.: Halau Kawehileimamoikawekiuo‘kohala

“Lei Day is a special opportunity to celebrate the traditions that connect our community and visitors to Hawai‘i’s heritage,” Cheryl Beckley, marketing manager at Kings’ Shops, said in a press release. “We’re proud to be part of the Waikoloa Lei Day Festival and to welcome guests to an afternoon of cultural activities and experiences.”
