Sherry Mae Andrews, 80, of Kailua-Kona died April 12 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Hilo, she was a business owner, devoted wife and Aunty Sherry to many that knew her. A celebration of life service will be held at noon on June 28 at Waiohinu Park in Ka‘u. Casual attire. Flowers and lei welcome. Lillian Tsuyako Aratani, 102, of Hilo died Jan. 27 at home. Born in Naalehu, she was a retired cafeteria cook with Ka‘u High School and was a member of the Pahala Hongwanji Mission Kyodan and Buddhist Women’s Association. Gloria “Glory” Christine Foster (Osbloom), 94, of Kailua-Kona died on April 13 at home. Born in St. Paul, Minn., she moved to San Diego, Calif., where she worked for Ma Bell until retirement when she went on to attend San Diego State University to earn her MFA in poetry, and after graduation, began teaching at the college and local high schools. Celebration of life at 1 p.m. today at her home in Kailua-Kona. Survived by son William “Bill” Foster, grandchildren Kellen Foster and Alyssa Caudill, sister Joan William, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Robert Franklin Karp Sr., 93, of Hilo died May 11 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. He served in the Air Force, worked as an administrator for Macadamia Nut Orchids L.P., and was a member of The Korean War Veterans Association and Jolly Riders Motorcycle Club. Private Services Held. Ceriaco “Tac” Tacderan, Jr., 90, of Waikoloa, and formerly of Hilo, died April 12 at home. Born in Hilo, he was the general manager of Beneficial Finance for 22 years before retiring as a salesperson with the former 91直播 Motors, and was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
