Rogers Phillip Naihe

Rogers Phillip Naihe, 78, of Pahoehoe died Dec. 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kona, he was a retired maintenance engineer for Casa De Emdeko condominiums, member and former board member of Puka‘ana Congregational Church, member of Disabled American Veterans and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Puka‘ana Congregational Church in Captain Cook. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Lunch to follow. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Betsy Iona-Naihe of Pahoehoe; sons, Steven (Gladys) Iona of Ka‘u, Lonn (Nani) Iona of Pahoehoe and Jon-Anthony (Eva) Naihe of Las Vegas; brothers. Robert (Mililani) Naihe of Captain Cook and John (Noe) Naihe of Ka‘u; sisters, Gertrude Delaries of Honalo, Anna Caudell of Honaunau and Ella (Lionel) Noel of California; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Marjorie Strahm, 76, of Kailua-Kona died Dec 19. She was born in Nebraska. Family service in May in Nebraska.
