Annual Volcano Art Center fundraiser is Feb. 21
The Love The Arts annual fundraiser event, “Earth, Wind &Fire,” takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village (19-4074 Old Volcano Road).
This annual gala is the main event to raise funds for nonprofit Volcano Art Center, which allows it to fund classes, exhibits, workshops “and offer the creative arts experience in this uniquely nurturing and inspiring environment,” according to a press release.
The event includes live and silent auctions, with unique offerings including original artwork, hotel stays, tours, jewelry and more. The pubic will have an opportunity to bid on artwork, hotel stays, restaurants, local products, services and gift certificates to businesses and attractions.
Each year, VAC asks local artists to contribute their artwork for this event, to be auctioned to raise the needed funds to sustain VAC’s programs and classes.
These artists and businesses who give to the event do so with the knowledge that their donation will have a direct impact on the survival of the center. VAC is an integral part of this unique community, offering a sense of belonging to those who live and work around it.
Tickets are $125, or $100 for VAC members.
