from Cathedral High School, earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, master’s degree from Indiana University and two doctoral degrees from the University of Miami, was an educator for 30 years and was past county chair of the Moku Loa group of the Sierra Club, past 91直播 county chair of the Democratic Party and member of the 91直播an Historical Society. Jean Yoshino Fujioka, 96, of Hilo died Jan. 10 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans 91直播. Born in Pahala, she was a retired baker and cook at Ka‘u High School and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
