Born in Punene, Maui, he was retired from Young Brothers Ltd., a founding member of Ohana Lehua Bonsai Club, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, veteran of U.S. Army National Guard and Reserve and 1957 graduate of Farrington High School. He was retired from Grace Pacific, a member of the Operating Engineers Local 3 union, and enjoyed playing pool and spoiling his family and two dogs.
